Muzeum Złota Złotoryja

Muzeum Złota w Złotoryi zostało założone w lipcu 1978 roku z inicjatywy społeczności lokalnej oraz przy wsparciu władz miejskich. Muzeum mieści się w budynku przy ul. Zaułek 2, który pochodzi z połowy XVIII wieku i jest wkomponowany w starsze mury obronne miasta. Początkowo, do 1998 roku, muzeum funkcjonowało pod nazwą Muzeum Społeczne Ziemi Złotoryjskiej.

Znaczna część eksponatów pochodzi z kolekcji Leopolda Schmeterlinga. Muzeum skupia się na prezentacji bogatej historii wydobycia złota w regionie Złotoryi.

Dzięki swojej bogatej ofercie edukacyjnej i unikalnym zbiorom, Muzeum Złota w Złotoryi jest ważnym punktem na mapie kulturalnej regionu i przyciąga zarówno turystów, jak i badaczy historii górnictwa.
