Baszta Krzaków Ośno

Ośno Lubuskie otoczone było silnymi murami obronnymi, których istnienie potwierdzono już w XV wieku. W 1433 roku obroniło się przed atakiem husytów. W kolejnych latach, mury były wzmacniane i modernizowane, zwłaszcza po pożarze miasta w 1517 roku. Otaczały one miasto, chronione dodatkowo fosą i bagnami. Fortyfikacje obejmowały m.in. dwie bramy oraz liczne baszty: cylindryczne, półkoliste i prostokątne. W bramach znajdowały się mosty zwodzone, a mury wyposażone były w chodnik straży. Do najlepiej zachowanych obiektów należy Baszta Złodziejska, tzw. Baszta Krzaków, która pełniła funkcję rezerwowego więzienia w XVIII wieku.
